Happy new year to all from your Burton CAMRA Committee! There’s lots going on in January and it’s a great opportunity make a resolution that is easy to keep! It’s a great time of year to get more involved with the Branch (although we can’t promise to help you lose those extra Christmas pounds). January sees the next Beer Festival planning meeting. Tuesday 8th at 8pm at the Burton Old Cottage. All are welcome to come along and meet the festival committee, help at any stage of the process is always welcomed! More info on our Beer Festival page.
On Wednesday 9th January, there’s a very important Branch Meeting. At the January meeting we will be deciding the entrants for the Good Beer Guide 2014. We need as many people as possible to get the widest range of opinions. The meeting is at the Burton Old Cottage, committee meeting starts at 7:30 with the main meeting following at 8pm.
Finally (for the time being), on Saturday 12th is the January Branch Social to the Bridge End Inn at Ruabon. This wonderfully historic pub is the 2012 National Pub of the Year winner (and the first Welsh winner at that!). For more information on the pub see the CAMRA PotY site. For details, or to register, please contact the Social Sec.
