Beer Festival Planning Meeting.

Tuesday 07th October. Beer Festival Sub Committee meeting at the Burton Old Cottage. Commence at 8:00pm. Getting involved in the Festival is a great way to support your branch, meet people and learn a thing or two about our favourite drink! All members welcome, the more people involved the better!

October Branch meeting at The Cock Inn, Hanbury.

October’s Branch meeting will be at the Cock Inn, Hanbury, Monday October 06th 2014. The committee will meet at 7:30pm followed by a Branch meeting at 8pm.

Branch meetings are a great opportunity to meet the committee running your Branch. Attending branch meetings is a good way to find out what’s happening in the area, but also gives you the chance to suggest Socials, Campaigning ideas or just about anything else. If you’ve not been to one, why not give it a try!

September 2014 Bike Ride

Meet at the Barley, Stapenhill, Friday 26th September 2014 at 6:45 pm. Leave at 7:00 pm onto the Freehold Tavern, Newhall via the A444 and the B5353 then onto the Wheel Inn, Midway. Down the A511 to the Waterloo, Winshill for Friday night eats, please give a bit of money to the charity for the food. Please let Peter Rose know if you are coming so he can order the correct amount of food. Do take the opportunity to do some beer scoring as well.

August 2014 Bike Ride

Cycle Tour to the Ostrich, Longford. Friday 22nd August 2014. Meet at the Bridge Brewery, Burton at 6:45 pm. Leave at 7:00 pm, stopping at:

  • The Ostrich, Longford
  • The Cross Keys, Tutbury

Sandwiches at the Cross Keys around 10pm (£4 per head).

Please let Peter Rose know if you are coming so he can order the correct amount of food. Do take the opportunity to do some Beer Scoring on the way!

Peter Rose is organising a Cycle Tour on the 25th July 2014. The group will meet at the Black Horse, Moor Street, Burton at 6:45 pm. Leave at 7:00 pm, stopping at:

  • William IV, Alrewas
  • The Swann, Fradley Junction
  • Bull at Rosliston

Sandwiches at the Colville Arms around 10pm (£4 per head).

2015 Beer Festival Planning Meeting

The 2015 Burton Festival is in need of your help. Further to the email sent out recently the initial planning meeting to appoint a Festival Committee and to discuss Festival matters will be on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 at the Burton Old Cottage at 8pm.
