Beer Festival

It is with great sadness that Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA have come to the difficult decision of cancelling the 2020 Burton & South Derbyshire Beer & Cider Festival. With the Prime Ministers latest request for us all to avoid mass gatherings in order to slow the spread of Coronavirus we feel it is the responsible thing to do.  Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA apologies for any inconvenience caused and we will attempt to re schedule so please keep an eye on our Social Media channels.

The 41st Burton & South Derbyshire Beer and Cider Festival will be in the usual venue at the Burton Town Hall (directions and accommodation) running from 26th to 28th March 2020. Please get in touch and come along and see how a beer festival gets put together and get involved. All help is greatly appreciated, click here for information on how to volunteer.

Opening times and Admission prices for the 2020 festival will be as follows:

To help speed up entrance the fees will be packaged together to include admission, glass and £5 worth of tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased in the Main Hall or at the Wine / Drivers Bar. A refundable deposit of £3 is required for a festival glass. The festival will be a token festival (no cash at bars), any unused tokens will be refundable or can be donated to our charity. Food and soft drinks available at all sessions. Children welcome until 6pm.

Thursday 26th March
Evening 6.00pm-11.00pm (Free Entry for all)

Package price £8 (includes glass and £5 beer token)

Friday 27th March
Lunchtime 11am-6pm (£3 entry, CAMRA members receive a £3 beer token)

Package price £11 (includes entry, glass and £5 beer token)

Evening 6pm-11pm (£7 entry, CAMRA members receive a £3 beer token)

Package price £15 (includes entry, glass and £5 beer token)

Saturday 28th March
Lunchtime 11am-6pm (£3 entry, CAMRA members receive a £3 beer token)

Package price £11 (includes entry, glass and £5 beer token)

 Evening  6pm-10pm (£5 entry, CAMRA members receive a £3 beer token)

Package price £13 (includes entry, glass and £5 beer token)

The Burton Beer and Cider Festival is known for having an excellent range of Real Ale, Cider & Perry on offer, representing local and national producers. There will also be Country Wines available and a Driver’s Bar serving non-alcoholic beverages including non alcoholic beer. A full list will be available for download nearer the event.

Festival Charity

This year’s Charity is Burton Hope. Burton H. O. P. E (Helping our people eat) is a non profit constituted body made up of members who volunteer to help vulnerable people in need, from homeless to the elderly.
