Christmas Carols at Community Pubs

The Leopard in Tutbury, is getting in the festive spirit, by hosting a Christmas Carol event next week.

On Tuesday 11th December from 7pm, local school children are performing Christmas Carols followed by the Tutbury Community Choir – Local Vocals – who will be performing a Christmas Concert from 8pm.

Admission to this event is FREE, however donations can be made to support the local school. The Leopard is a great example of a Community Pub, so if you’re enjoying a pint while listening to the concert, don’t forget to submit NBSS scores as Tutbury is one of our under-scored Branch regions!

West Midlands Regional Awards at the Bartons Arms

The West Midlands Regional Ale, Cider and Perry awards will be held at the Bartons Arms in Aston on December 29th 2012. This is a great opportunuty to meet some of the West Midlands producers and have a few pints of award winning ales!

We’ll be running a coach down to Aston, leaving Burton around 10:30. Lunch will be provided. Please use the contact form on the front page of the website or drop May Arthur an email so we can get numbers for the meeting and for the coach.

Pub List for the Derby Pub tour

The tentative list for the Derby pub tour is as follows. Remember that we’ll be meeting at the Alexandra around 7:30, moving on after a (slow) first drink. Following that, we plan on visiting: The Exeter Arms, The Peacock, The Furnace and the Five Lamps.

If you’re joining us later, drop us an email (or use the contact form on the home page) and we’ll send you mobile numbers. As usual, please either email the Chair, or the Social Sec to let us know you’re coming otherwise we won’t know to wait for you!

UPDATE: We will be meeting at the Alexandra and leaving for the Exeter around 7:30pm. If you can’t make it until 7:30-8pm ish, come and meet us at the Exeter. Sorry for the confusion.
